Hanoi artist Pham Huy Thong comes to Ho Chi Minh City to exhibit a new collection of oil and acrylic paintings on canvas and paper watercolours. The 34-year-old artist graduated from the Hanoi Industrial Fine Arts University in 2004 and his star has been steadily rising since.
Thong speaks of how ordinary people have learnt hope to survive Vietnam’s turbulent history. The exhibition expresses his belief in the importance of that virtue.
