The institute will present nine films from five countries, which were all part of the Berlinale Shorts 2015. The Berlinale Shorts is the short film programme of the Berlin International Film Festival.
The offerings vary from documentaries to fictional stories, to animated movies. Central themes are personal life stories and rituals, portraying longing, love, cruelty and absurdism. Some of the films give thought-provoking impulses, others open up a whole new world to the viewer. They show life on another planet, but also the earthly dangers emanating from humans and the power of nature.
The Goethe-Institut is at 56-58 Nguyen Thai Hoc, Ba Dinh, Hanoi. The event kicks off at 7pm and entrance is free. For info, click on goethe.de/ins/vn/en/ or email [email protected]
