Aug. 1 marks the beginning of registrations for the third installment of the 48-Hour Film Festival.

The global contest requires groups of filmmakers to write, shoot, edit and complete a short movie within a time frame of just 48 hours. Each set of contestants has to work with a character, a prop, a line of dialogue, and a genre assigned by the organisers. All films will be shot between Sep. 28 and Sep. 30 in 48 hours of high speed auteurism, with the awards ceremony taking place in November.

To register simply go to 48.vivo.vn or email vietnam@48hourfilm.com for entrance information. For further information email the event’s organiser Ross Stewart on ross@d-v-s.com.au. Last year one of the short films shot in Vietnam came third in the world
