The Onion Cellar continues their exploration of music and film, this time presenting an official screening of contemporary German documentary, Noise and Resistance.

Directors Francesca Araiza Andrade and Julia Ostersag enter the vivid, vibrant, rebellious and self-conscious scene of DIY punk. From squatters in Barcelona to anti-fascists in Moscow, Dutch trade unionists, activists in England and Swedish girl punk bands, the documentary concerns taking action through music, communal living and direct action.

The official screening of Noise and Resistance will take place at CAMA ATK, 73A Mai Hac De on Tuesday Aug. 28. Entry is VND50,000 with all door money going to the film makers. Doors open from 6pm — the film kicks off at 8.30pm.
