The National Library of Vietnam and the Austrian embassy are celebrating the life and work of Gustav Klimt (1862 – 1918) from Jun 15 until Jun 24 with a special opening night from 5pm on Jun 15. 

 

Coinciding with the artist's 150th birthday as well as 40 years of Austrian-Vietnamese relations, an exhibition of the iconic Gustav Klimt, whose many female portraits depicting numerous ladies of the then Austrian high society can be seen  His works can be seen all over Hanoi on canvases, lacquer plates and boxes, coffee mugs and the list goes on. From Jun 15 the Austrian Embassy and the National Library of Vietnam are teaming up to bring you an indepth look at the life and art of the artist himself.
