With Japan’s Electric Eel Shock headlining this year’s event, CAMA is furthering its reputation as a festival institution, also attracting hip-hop royalty in the form of Akil the MC of Jurassic 5 fame and Chinese punk rockers Carsick Cars.
Also expect electro dance experimentalism from Filipino duo Turbo Goth, while Hong Kong's indie scenesters Poubelle International round up the international element of the festival, bringing their distinct angular art punk rhythms with them.
Representing the home front are Vietnamese fem-rockers Go Lim, afrobeat rhythmists Zamina and Expat contributions from industrial electro outfit Machete. Sex.
Getting bigger each year, CAMA Festival 6 promises to be a behemoth, and if you've been pining away for that independent music fix you've been missing, then this is your gig.
