Since 2003, COMA-CHI has built her reputation through performances and MC battles in Tokyo. She gained notoriety for her freestyle street rapping and for regularly showing the boys how it’s done on the sidewalk. It didn’t take long for her to blow up and in 2006, she released her first solo album, Day Before Blue. Featuring solid rhyming, and a telling influence from 1990s hip-hop, the album commanded attention and entered the Japanese music charts in its first week of release.
COMA-CHI’s performance in Hanoi will mark her Vietnam debut and will be the first chance for Hanoi hip-hop fans to see the unique sounds of this talented, top-selling rap artist.
CAMA ATK is located at 73A Mai Hac De, Hai Ba Trung. Tickets are VND50,000 on the door or free for anyone holding a valid Vietnamese student card. Doors open from 6pm with the performance starting at 9pm
