For all you environmentally-conscience budding or pro photographers out there, you’ll be pleased to know you can get snapping this month for a cause close to your hearts — Habitat for Humanity Vietnam, a nongovernmental shelter organisation that provides low cost housing, water and sanitation solutions to low-income families, celebrates not only its 10th anniversary in October but also World Habitat Day with a nationwide photo contest.
Open to participants aged 16 and over who reside, study or work in Vietnam, those interested are encouraged to submit a photo that reflects the impact of climate change on homes and neighbourhoods — of course to raise awareness of climate change in Vietnam.
Photos must be submitted by Oct. 14 with the winners announced on Oct. 19, followed by an awards ceremony on Oct. 28. For full details on how to enter, visit www.habitatvietnam.org
