After this date, such documents must be legalised by the UK Legalisation Office and then by the Vietnamese Embassy in London.
The changes have been made so as to fully comply with requirements set out by Vietnamese authorities. It will also free up more time for consular staff to provide greater support to their most vulnerable customers such as minors, the elderly, people with mental health problems, and victims of serious crime.
Both locations will continue to provide other notarial and documentary services to British nationals in Vietnam.
