Well-loved Hanoi watering hole, Derry’s Irish Bar, is reopening after an 18-month hiatus. With more time to devote themselves fully to the endeavour, owners Victor and Huong are keeping with the formula successful in the bar’s last incarnation — a fusion of Irish, Singaporean and Vietnamese décor, cuisine and styles to create a unique watering hole overlooking Truc Bach Lake.
As in the past, the drinking den will be offering drink discounts every night as well as pub grub for empty bellies. And if you’re a sucker not just for Irish stew but hearty Singaporean fare, too — think nasi lemak and laksa — Derry’s might just be for you.
